Cuentos para Algernon is a non-commercial blog whose only goal is to try to increase the exposure of those short stories (mainly science fiction and other similar genres) written in English and not published in Spanish I’ve particularly enjoyed. With that objective, I intend to translate some of those stories into Spanish and publish them in this blog (always with the copyright owner’s permission).
In 2014, this blog won the Spanish Ignotus Award for Best Website. In 2020, «Cuentos para Algernon: Año VII» (the anthology compiling the stories published in the blog during its seventh year, 2019) won the Ignotus Award for Best Collection/Anthology. Several of the stories published here have also been nominated for the Ignotus Awards in the Best Foreign Story category, and two of them won the Ignotus Award in this category. And the blog was also nominated as Best Fanzine in the European Science Fiction Society 2020 Achievement Awards.
